the Board were present except Mr. Burgess. who is out sick.

Warrant No.:gV totalling $8821.10 was presented by Town Acct.,
Barrett and checked' and approved by the Board.,
Mrs'Carol Nicl~e~son ~¥as,present and conmQeut~d on the fa'ct that
J¥~. William Burdick Jr. who is a Sp. police officer e.mployed
by the local force was working part ti.me .~r Mr; Chester Barret
in the dual c~pacity of a Sp. police office and a'taxi driver.
It was voted ,to write Chief Howes that the Board ddd not approv~
of this practice.~, , ..... , , :, ,
'Permit was granted the GaS 'and-Electric and the T~l. and Tel
'joint pole locations on Vesper lane.
~.'Er~est' R."Cof£in'V~ present and discussed reoairs to the
sconset pump with the Board, suggested that if appropriation
',was sufficient it would be desireable to clean off cobbles in
the'pLump'fenced area, to which suggestion .the board agreed.
The Board' discussed the question of a speed limit in the Harbor
and voted to ,set the speed limit at 6i~;PH and to so advise the ,
Harbor Master,' the.question of a 'sign and authority was'dis-
cussed and voted to confer with the tovrn counsel on this.
The question of a fenc'e across a ~own right ~f way in' Siasconse~
was _brought up and it was voted to write Mr. Jesse Eldridge 'who
is one of the abutters as regards this .matter.' '
