Mr~ John Walsh~was present ~nd requested a renewal of his Junk Dealers license, after some discussion with M~ Walsh ~and his father it was voted to issue M~. Walsh a license good for 30 days during which time M~. Walsh was to investigate the cost of a fence o~ hedge and report to the Board as to when he'felt he might be able'to construct same. ' A~deleg~ti0n~0f Hulbe~t Ave. residents Whos spokespan was ~ ~Raynor Gardner were present and asked the Board to take some ~ action to restrain high ,speed water skie~ing and speedboating nea~sho~e in the be~chside area. The Board voted to establish a line.~unuing~from the inboard end of the Western jetty to ~Braut point inside of which apeeds in excess of 6 MPH would be~ prohibited and to so advise the harbor master. The~wannacomet water co. was granted a ~e~it to open S. Be~h street and Cliff Rd for water,services. -~A~request was~received and approved for a Slow Children sign ~on Merey Lane'Siasconset and forwarded to the Supt. of Streets ~A~ notice ~of the 2nd Gov. Leon Royal was.p~eseut ~d requested that~ the ~o~rd l~ok the sign at the entrance to Chestnut St.'~e Board did so after the meeting and it was the opinion that the sign on the S. ~ide should be moved out to the curb at the entrance to the street for better visability. It was also noted that many of the signs on Center street were low enough for a tall person to strike' his or her head on and it was-voted to request the Supt. of streets to make a survey of all the signs and correct any low on~s .
