,Roge~ King was present and applied for a TaXi pe~it, it~
appea~ing that he was a resident of the tovm, the s~me was
g~anted. ' '
~r Jaeckle Supt. of Streets was present a~d discussed with the
board the advisability of making the 'intersection of Nant. Ave.
and N.~Liberty St.~at Cliff Rd. stop streets, ~d also Chex,~y
street at Orange and Lower York street at Orange, the board
voted to,have the necessary, petition sent to the D.P.W. and in
the meantime authorized'the ~pt. to e~ect ~stop siEns at these
intersections for what~ value they would have.
Leon Royal was pressnt and complained to the board'that the
,beach which is ~ extension of Jeffe~son'Ave. was. so situated
as ',to lead the~public .to think it was a'private beach and
suggested that the same should be marked public and lines
painted on the street through$ conrands parking area designating
just where the street lines were· The matter was taken under
advisement.
Nantucket Poultru fanciers were gmanted a Pe~it to h~ld their
annual show on the Sanford House Grounds on Aug. 13th.

two police ca~s availabe~- i~ideatly for the Sconset Pathogen
both day and night ...... , ~_
