Warrant No. 20 totalling $11, 295.52 was ~hecked and approved by the Board. The board discussed the matter of the fee to be charsed for Wine and Nalt, Common Vict. licenses and set said fee at ~200.00. Nr. Orison V. Hull was granted a permit'to keep chickens. Nr. Parker Gray was granted a taxi permit and a Permit to ~un a .trapshooting range at Knotty Pines. Nr. Ernest Whelden was g~anted a t~xi permit. Mr. O. Lake, Mr. R~ Sangui~etti'and Nr. Gilbert Nanter of the transportation committee were present and asked,that the board consider receiving their resignations from ~his co~uittee due to the~fact that we mow had a steamship authority and a rep- resentative from this island on said committee or authority they felt their duties were abrogated. The board later discussed and,, voted to request this committe to continue to serve with the understanding that we would try to organize bi monthly meetings with ~r. L. Miller our representative on the steamship authority Nfs Catherine Ellis was appointed to the position of clerk at the information bureau for the coming season. Sankaty Beach Club applied for a Club 'All Alcoholic License and it was voted that the same take the course prescribed by law. ~. Harold Gatll~rd was present and ~discussed agai~ With'the bo'a~ the matter of lifting the'restriction placed on his operations season. Nr. Glidden and Mr. Holdg~te were in favor of so doing, due to the absence of Mr. Coffin it was voted to continue~this matter fo another week, the mather to be finally decided at our next meeting. A ~ommcn vict. License was issued'to the Jetties Beach. Nr. Robe~ T. Currie. Siasconset-Bo0k store Inc. was issued a Soft drin~ a~d~Ice Cream license. The matter of a taxi permit was again tabled as Charima] Sovernio was checking with the town clerk on regulations. Mr. C. Ray ~orris was ~ranted a r~nswal of his pistol Permit '~ildred.~ewett was gr~nted a Soft Drink,'Ice cream and Co~on V~ license. Hilda Hib~en was granted a common vict. license. A communication was received from Comm. Herbert~Smith SAW reques permit for the memorial'day parade which was granted and. request: that theboard ~e present at the cermonies.
