Minutes of the previoUs meeting were read and approved. Junior-Class was gra~ted~a permit for~ a ~i~ay pro~ on 19 ~ay. Charles Fleming"w~S granted a permit to move a building on Easton and North Bmach streets. Mr. ~Arthur Stet'son was pre~nt and-Complained about all night parking on N.~Water~street,~also stated that cars blocked up ~ the right of way at the rear of their premises. The board took the matter under advisement. ~ l¥lr. Blount Shellfish w~rden was present and ~repo~ted tha~ he saw no need to move any more seed scallops at present. It was voted to ~authorize the warden'to purchase 250 bushel of ,seed Quohogs but to first see what~size could be obtained. The lease of the shanty used by the Fish Warden from the Island Sera vice Co. was signed by the Board. -~ ~ .... Mr. Jaeckle Supt Of streets was present and submitted s~ for the curbing on W. York lane, it was voted to authorize ~the Supt to contract for this work. ~ Bid on the curb On Washington strest, was ~warded to the Constz~ction Co. They being the only bidder.. ~Th$ board voted to accept the new Pier at Madaket and OK final~ The american~!'egion was g~nted a spe-~ial one night Wine and license at their rooms for the evening of ! ~.,~ay 1950. -, ip~r0~i~was g~nted'~to a request b~ Chester ~arrett-f0r of his :~ sightseeing bus ,permit to include~Com.~ercial street to Connnercia! Wharf~ subject to approval 0f~the department of Notice was received ~r°m the Dept.-of Publi0 'works and tbs Ax~-~y engineers of ~a hearing on an' application by Eben Hutchinson Jr. to construct a wood pier and dredge and fill solid at Commercial Wharf. The board having no objection the matter was filed'.
