A~s~ecial:'~ting '0f the~seleotmen was held,this date in the
office of~the town clerk for the purpose of choosing~grand
and travers jurers. All~members~of the bo~d except Mr.
Holdgate~who~s still~confined~to the Hospital were'present
~s were Town Clerk Co, fin/ and Deputy Sheriff~Paul ~rye.
Before the business of choosing Jurors was
Counsel~Snsguinetti met with the~ard~and discussed the
request previously received from the~Assessors~with referenc~
to a special town meeting t0 clarify some ~rticle of the
last ~nn~l town meeting. It was the ~ opinion of the town'~
counsel that~legally the matter seemed to be in'the
f~vor but that their ~still remaiued:so~e~ small~element~of
doubt~as to whether~theM c~ld levy,an assess~ent~to raise~
money to cover these articles and it was on,this question
that the~tov~ c~sel felt it would be in order for, us to
call~a~speci~l meeting to remove any doubt and put,the assessors
in the cle~. ~The~board vote8 to call~a special~town m~eting~
and the advertise~the 's~me S~t. ~the 8th day of April~1980.

The ~following were dra~ to serve on the Gr~nd Jury for the
remainde~ of the year.
