February 23rd ~950
The meeting ~ came to o~er~st 8 PM all members be'iug~pre~ent
this being the first regulsr meeting o£ the newely elected
board. ,~ ·
Warrant No. 8 totalling $1'5,478.gv was presented by town acc-
ountant Barrett and checked'and spproved by the board. ~u
Mr. Sanguinetti Town counsel was pres~t and thanked the board
for his re-appointment as town counsel. He gave the board his
opinion with reference 'to the applicstion previously received
by the 'board' for .an outdoor movie, that no particualr'type
of. license or regulation was necessary,other than those regulatio
for the public safety set up by the state.
~.ir. 'Blou~t Shellfish wa~den was present and. 'discussed the~ findin
of ~f.r. ~eeler State~Iarine Biologist, with the board, (v,,-~th..
reference~to seed scallops) he stated Mr. V~qaeeler would be down
for o~r next regular meeting and meet withthe bosr5 to discuss
our shellfish problems.
~r. Topham Supt./of the Sconset Water DePt. was present and Ssk~
the board to grant him mileage on his car. After some discussion
th~ board voted that. we hsve uo jurisdiction,over this mstter
and to inform Mr. Topham that he should take this up with his
immediate employers the Siasconset Water Commissioners. ~
It was voted t0 request the opinion ~of ~ktown counsel as~t0
state or local law pertaining to ~ over a certain amount
to be put out to bids.
An appi-~cati0n was received from Walter Glowscki requesting an
opportunity to bid on town road construction.
It was voted, to advertise for ~ppl~icata~'bS for town apP0i~ti,.;e
positions, the sa~e to be in the hands of the board by 8 PM '~,
March 2nd 1950. ,_
