MINUTES OF.THE MEETIN6- DECEMBER lO, 1969
The meeting of~the Board of Selectmen'was called to order by

The'minutes'of.the meeting of December 3, 1969 were rsad. A motion
was m'~de't° accept the minutes as read, it was seconded'and s'o~'voted.
Warrant No..qg, in the'amount of $74,300.63,~was appro6ed by the
Board of Sslectme~n. ~ ~. ,
NANTUCMET BOAT, INC~ ~Dr. Schnelle'and his wife appeared'before the Board
,testing against the proposed pier that the Nantucket Boat, Inc.
anned tO build.~ The Board informed Dr. Schnells that there was already
a suit against the Town bV the Nantucket Boat, Inc., and that the legal~
firm representing the Town had been given information, aerial views,
maps, photos, etc. ·
NANTUC½ET CoNsERvATION COMMISSION Mr. Parker Gray indicated-the¥..~
expect the Conservation Commission~articles will be ~completed bv the
end of the vear.~. ~. ~ ?~! ~
MIACOMET POND AREA Inanswer to Rarker Grav's ~Uestion, th~ Board
stated that the Miacomet Park Land Acquisition has been held up due
to failure of,the Zone× Su ve Co pan to complete work ae per their
bid. Steps have been taken to release them and ~have others d° the
wor~.
SMOOTH HUMMOCMS In answe~ to a question bv Parker Grsv, 'the Board
informed him that thev had entered an objection in Land courton~' the
Smooth Hummocks area but had not received anv response from the
Land Co'rt.
AIRPORT COMMISSION A Communication f~om the Airport Commission
indicated their willingness to consider a joint Fire Department
Station at the Airport. The Board Voted to'meet with the Airport
CommiSsion on December 15, 1969,.in the Selectmsn~s rooms, at 7:30 P.M.
in order to discuss this matter.~ .
CHAP. 90 ROAD cONSTRUCTION'~A~memorandum~Ofran~agreement~'an~P~e-~'~
liminarv estimates to encumber 1968 conetruct~on, funds were received~
from the MASS° Dept. of'Public Works,~were approved and Signed. Funds
were aSlfollows: Town · State

Pocomo~Road ~5,000.00. 5,000.00
It was pointed out that although the final intant is t° ~do up t° 7200'
of~PocoMo Road, this agreement encumbers Oniv$10~,ooo.O0 towards this~
project.
