The Minutes of thee Meet'in of October we 'e read. Mr Whelden made a motion that the minutes be~accepted as read, it was seconded and so voted. ' ,. ~ ~ Warrant No. 43, in the'amount Of ~ $61,022.16, was.apnroved by the Board. DAY NURSERY Mrs. Jean Hughes appeared~befo~e the Board to request a t~mporary license to operate~a Day Nursery until'such time as proper' facilities can be built to pass the State Law, as the Board of. Selectmen acting as the Board of Health are required to issue such license. Mr. Norcross made'a motion that written permission be given to Mrs. Hughes for a temporary license i~ · ~?t'~'_~ ~~~. ~ ~rr~ until we receive the rules and regulations, from the State, covering such Day Nurseries, Mr. Hatey seconded the motion and it was so voted. VACCINATION OF DOGS Dr. Schem~lle presented a letter to the Board which he had written in regard to the State law requiring vaccination for every dog ever six months of age throughout the State of Massachusetts. He proposed setting up a clinic for afternoon vaccinations on two Fridays and one Saturday late in November or in December, taking the dog owners' names that begin with A ~hru H one day, 1 thru Q on the second day and R thru Z on the last days. .The exact schedule will depend on the receipt forms and tags. He suggested that the fee.be ~2,00 ~er dog,~paid.directly to the M.S.P.C.A. and would apply to resident's dogs as well as summer dogs. Hs asked for clerical assistance on these ' dates to help with the inscription of the Certificates and to check on the licensing of the dogs that are presented. Each dog.that is vaccinate~ will: wear a red~tag'and this'vaccination must be repeated every!two,years. Mr. Wheldeo.suggested that perhaps some High School student could help.. Jut on the clerical work and Mr. Stuart Day stated that he had Fridav '.~' afternoon off~and offered any assistance that he could give. LEGAL FEES John McLaughlinstated that in 1968 Mr. Jason had been paid a legai fee and also ~n i969 for a total amount of $3~307.00 and ?~=~ questioned what this covered, The Board told him that IegaI fees a~e~for services rendered and told him the first case involved the Vale~o~case and the other money iS for services rendered in regard to Labor. Relations with the Union. ~-~ .... ' ,,~ DREDGING POLPIS HARBOR Mr. Arthor Egan 'inquired how the Polpis, ~arbor~ ~oat Ramp'application was coming a!ong. The Board told Mr. Egan~that, .,/~ they had been in contact mith Mr. Arthur Desrocher~ who is working with- the Public Access Board in this'regard.'~' Mr, Egan asked if.personal,~, pressure had been brought up on the Polpis Harbor situa~ion'by a certain individual.-'. After considerable discussion, Mr. Lowell made a ~otion to contact the Pubiic Access Boa~d~egarding this matter,'~Mr. Wheiden' -' seconded the motion and it was so voted. ~ ....
