with boat cradles and abandoned boats;, The Boat Yard~i's requested to
remove their cradles by the end of October, which should work out
with their winter sto~age schedule and anted should be inserted in

will be removed after August 29, 1969.

for the Selectmen to issue an additional liquor license.. No action was

6. SMALL BOAT MOORING On a motion, ~ulv seconded, it Was voted:
"The harbor area west of a line running' from the
southeast.corner of Commercial'Wharf to the
northeast corner of the Nantucket Shipyard, Inc.
property shall be set aside as a small boat
~ mooring area. No.vessel over. 40' in length
engaged in commercial enterprise shall enter
'the area except for refueling or repair. No
pier for commercial enterprises shell be con-

?. HARBOR RUBBISH A letter from the Master of the M/V Siesco~Set~,.
wes read in which the Master pointed out that on the date his vessel'
was seen dumping rubbish overboard persons on his vessel had Seen~
the Yacht Governor's Lady, of 8altimore,-dumping rubbish. The Boa~d.
moved that a letter be sent to the owner of the Governor's La~y.',

17. ~AIN STREET. BENCHES A. letter from Mrs. Cole requesting that benches
on Main Street be returned to their proper place was referred to the
18.'TAXI STAND A letter from the ~emb'ers of the Independent Taxi
was received. This letter thanked.the Selectmen for their action in
setting up a,texi.stand at Main and Federal Streets.
19" NOISE COMPLAINTS Chairman Holdgate ~eported that he had h~d-
..complaints regarding noise from Thirty'Acres,'Chicken Box,, Nantucket
Boys'.Club and Legion Hall. The secret~ry was instructed to write:."

'20. SURFSIDE'EAsT ROAD CLEAR~NG Stuart Day asked about.the disposition'i'~
of a summons in re~ard to the alleged'intention of the Board of Selectmen
to olear~"all laid out ways in Surfside. 'Chairman'Holdgate reported 'that'
the summons'had been mailed to Roy Sanguinetti for legal advice.
There being no fu~th~'b~siness, the meeting adjourned at ~:02 P.M..
and went into Executive Session.
