The meeting was called to Order at 8:04 P.M."with'all members
being present. ,.

2.~NIGHT TAXI "Based~on a'request from Lucille Cahoon, it was~moved
by Ernest Whelden, seconded,and passed that a Taxi -
Stand be established on the west.side of Federal Street
extending from Main Street to.the-alley allowing .
~Taxies only in this' area from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 A.M.
The Dept. of Public Works was instructed to install
the necessarV signs .... ·
3. BOYS' CLUB DANCE John Roche requested permission for a dance to be
.held on Tuesday at the Boys~ Club, the patrolmen~ to
be~Oohn Cochran and Charles Chambers.-A motion was .:
~made, seconded and passed to approve this request.
4. DERRYMORE ROAD STREET LIGHT An expression of appreciation was
received from C1yde. Blackwood for the installation for

5. CLUB LIOUOR LICENSE APPLICATION The application of the Nantucket
Anglers Club for an all season club liquor license was
read. Managers of the Club would be Oohn Dooley and
Michael'O. Lamb. With no obJectioons voiced, it was
mo~ed bV Andrew Lowell, seconded, voted and passed to
grant the application.

7. SPAR½G AVENUE INTERSECTION A petition signed bV interested'
individuals regarding the dangerous iotersection at'
Sparks Avenue was presented..Based on the petition,
the~Selectmen agreed to the following steps:
a. Tw° street lights in the area are to be increased
.in intensity. -'
b. The intersection signs in the area are' tO b'e made
c. The'installation of stop Signs on ~::~ street
going south and on aparks Avenue east will be
referred to the State Dept of Public Works.
8. ACCORDIAN P~AYING A request from May Yardley for permission to
play an accordian was dismissed due to failure
