The meeting came to order at 8.45 PM having been preceeded by. a County · Commissioners Meeting, all members of the Board being presentf
t~arrant No. 9, totalling $i4,826.'26 Was'Presented by Town Acct, Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes of the previous meeting were'read and approved.
Mr. Harold Lindley Jr. was granted a permit to hold a teen dance at ~he
. Boys Club from 8 to 12 on Sat. 8 March. Mr. Roche to be in charge and
Mr. Chambers to be Sp. Police.
'The following applications for renewal Of alcoholic Bvverage licenses were
received and voted to take the course prescribed by law.
Nant. Yacht Club Inc.; A. Preston Manchester'dba Upper Deck and Bosuns
Locker; Siasconset Book Store Inc.; Nantucket Island Products Co.-Inc.
:i~alter C 'Hatch and Kath; Dunham dba Hatch's Package Store.
Mr. James Allen was granted a renewal of his Taxi permit.
Notice was received of a pet. by Robert and Gertrude ~larks to Reg. title to
property in Surfside and it was voted to obtain a copy of the pet. plan
~ for the Boards examination. ',
Hr. Donald Vis~o commented on the open meeting law,;and suggested that ali

EXECUTIVE SESSION: ..:
,:The Board discussed the procedure to be followed by,the DPl¢ in
hireing of personnel and it was Voted to advise the DPtV that an applicant-
should fill out an application and that same be forwarded to the Board for
approval'with any comments by the dept' and that personnel not be hired until
the application has been approved by the Board and returne~ to the dept. It
was also suggested that, we obtain a standard form of medical examination and
that each employee be required to have a medical examination at the Towns
expense and same to be kept in his personnel folder..-.. :',_. ~''
