The meeting ca~e to order as Selectmen at 8.15 pM having been preceeded by a County Commissioners meeting, all members of the Board being
~arrant No. 5 totalling $51,021,92 was' presented, bY Town Acct, Barrett and
checked and approved by the Board .......
Minutes of the'}revious meeting were read and apProved.,,
Mr. Alexander M. Craig Jr. Steamship Auth, member was Present' and called the
· Boards attention to th~ ~tate house hearings to be b~id'on Tues the llt~
on the so called Other Ports bills. Requested any member of the Board
that could do so.to be present and to request Rep. ~esrocher to appear
in favor o~ these matters, and it was so Voted.
The Boy Scouts were granted a permit to erect tents and have'a camping' display
,at property of Sherhurne Associates on S, Water.street,'across from the
Fire Station in connection with Boy Scout week, and same was voted approveC
Mr. Charles Handy was granted a renewal of his Taxi permi}.'
The Red Men were granted a ~ Malt beverages at a
permit to sell Wines an~''

The Red chase Lumber Co. wrote requesting permission to gradec the'Town land
: leading from Macy lane into their Place of business'at their expense and ·
'A letter was received from the U.S.C.G. relative to the'status of the land
'formerly of the Madaket Station advising they ~ould advise i~ this could

The Nant. Rotary Club was granted permission to hold a dance at the High School
..... ., Aud. on Sat. Feb. 22n4 from 8 to 1A~ in connection with,a fund raising
