'The meeting'came to order at 8.15 PM having been preceeded by a County Commissioners meeting, all members of the Board being present. Warrant No. SS totalling $49~649.69 and-warrant,;Nov)li'°f~:196~-~totalting'.' $11,941.24 were presented by Town Acct. Barrett and checked and a~proved by the Board. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Mr. Donald Oliver was present and inquired as to the Boards policy as regards .applications for appointments, he was advised that the Board had es a policy that an applicant who applies and is not appointed and'who to be considered for a new vacancy should Meapply.each time a vacancy OCCURS. ', ,, Mr, Phillip Grant was Present with various other Commercial $c~llop Fishermen and the Shellfish Warden relative to temp. control and infractions thereof by fishermen this matter was discussed pro and con at great length and finally on motion duly made and seconded it~was voted as follows: .... -,, Tha~ no scallops shall be taken from the w~ters o~ Nantucket when the temp. is 25 degrees F. or less as shown on official thermometers at St. l~harf Nantucket and Mass. Ave. Pie~ Madaket. Batsch making application for a license to operate a restaurant at Middle Pearl street, and same was tabled, for 2 weeks' Congdons .Pha .rmacy.~as. granted a renewal of its Milk and Ice Cream license. It wasvoted to request bids on Oil for t~wn'and county bldgs same to be in next week at our regular meeting. · Notice was received from the DPI~ Boston relative to the application of Sherburne Associates pertaining.to various piers, dredging, fill et~. iff the st, ~harf Island Ser.'I~har and Comm.
