Ditch ,were widened, the, Pond ~b~ld go.down even more. , He
said that another parts of,the'Island where 'the 'ditches '
were widened and the salt, allowed to flow back~and forth,,
the sandy areas were 'easily eroded and there~was no.way
stop it; This ,would also endanger, ~the fresh water supply,of._
Madaket. It was his hope that the meeting accepted Mr.'Lewis's
amendment ,as the ~$250.00 was all that was needed to remove the
junk in the~ditch.
