Warrant No. 40, totalling $357j?$5.15 was presented by Town'AcCt. Barrett
:., and checked and approved by the Board
Mr. William Tornovich of Aliens Auto"Service was Present
and discussed with (~
the Board the matter of paYment, for.a town DP~q vehicle purchased from ~'''
Allens Auto Service; and the question as to the proper color, it appearing
- ~ that the vehicle was of an Orange color,when the towns desire was that it'
~: ': be, highway yellow to match the othe~ town vehicles;'Mr.,Tornovich stated
'that he felt the cause of the ~o10'~ miX'uP was due to an error by Supt.".
, ,Driscoll, Mr.'lqhelden concurred in this and stated that he did not feel
that Allens should be obligated to loose whatever it would'~ost to'repaint
this vehicle because of an error of the Supt. In any event the bill. for,
payment of this vehicle was on the weekly warrant with the notation by
Allens 'qVe agree.to paint truck color agreed upon by Town of Nantucket
Board of Selectmen" and was approved by the Board'for payment. :'
Bids were received £or advertised and specified inte~io~ construction work
and storm Windows as follows: , ,:.,. ·
Douglass B.' Lawrence was the only bidder on the construction work his
.: bid being in the amount of $8,960.00 with a completion date of March
1969. It was voted to award this contract to Mr. Lawrence conditioned on-.
