'r The minutes of the previous were r~ad and approved.' . I~arrant No. 29, totaling $$$,372.50, was preL'en~ed by Town Accountant Barrett and was checked and approved by the Board. ." Robert M0oney, Esq. was present on the matter Of the requested transfer of the '' ./seasonal all alcoholic beverages'license held by A. Preston Manchester to" . the new location at Straight Wharf and to La Crepe of Nantucket, Inc. This .'~matter was discussed at some length,'and on motion duly made and seconded, it was voted:~ To deny the requested transfers. AbbGtt' E.' Johnson was p~esen~ and ~equ~sted that t~e brush'0n:Gr0ve Lane from New Lane to the No' Bottom Pond area be cut back, and this matter was ',: referred to the D.P.W. . . Robert'christma'n was present and Once again reiterated th~ £4Ct that he was interested in ob,~aining the all alcoholic beverages license. The Board Was in receipt of the deed in accordanc'e with'the vote of the Town , Meeting relative to the transfer of the 01d Town Building to the Nantucket -Historical Association, and it was voted that the Sec~e~arybe authorized ..to sign said deed on behalf of the Board. " A letter was received from the Planning Board advising'that "a .... Vacanc~existed ,: ,,on the Planning Board due to the resignation of Charles E. Welton. It was voted to hold a joint meeting with the Planning Board and the Selectmen 'at 4:30, July 19th for the purpose of appointing a new member. .' . Gilbert Nickerson and Island Sightseeing Tour's were gfanted~a renewal'of their' · ' Taxi Permits Mr. 'Christian Schell was present and stated that in the event the Board shoUld be.taking any action on an increase in the seasonal estimated population,. that he would like to be~.notifi~d so that he might be'present and voice, his views'.
