Burr. Mr. Collins stated that he hoped the Board wduld keep in mind the best interest of the,To~n, stated that he felt Mr. Burr was not well when he hade the agreement, that he felt that the prospective buyer was not interested in operating a restaurant ~ut~was buying the property for Some kind of a tax deduction and felt that the Board shoula reject the application.--' ............. Liberty St. in the same manner and with the same restrictions as last season. Same was approved subject to information from Mr. Ritchie as tO dates etc. '~ ~,.~ An application was received from Wauwinet House Inc.,to allo~ dancing on'.. Sunday Am fro~ midnight Sat to iA~ sunday and the B6ard after discussion Voted that we would not approve dancing on Sund~y for any part thereof. ~ letter was receive~ from Robert F. Mooney Esq. in'behalf of LaCrepe Inc.- ''* ~-~/ relative to a transfer of a.license held by Mr. A. Preston ~anchester 'joined in by Mr. Manchester. This matter was discussed, and it Voted to request an opinion of the Town Counsel as to whether an' application for a transfer had to be advertised,:and also what were the rights of the Board with reference to a refusal to approve~same, Mr. John Cassano in behl~f of'the Senior class-was granted a permit to hold the annual graduation ball at the high school ~uditorium on Friday from 8PM to 1A~. ; ~: MissPamela ;Vasley~and Rikk Larsen were granted a permit t'o operate the Ice cream truck for the coming season under the same regulations' as. 'previously set. The following taxi permitS~were approved: Irvin F. Holdgate; Car01'Nick~rson; George Hatch; Thomas Igoe and Marie Thurston . The S and 10 Mr. Moe Dee Mgr.' Was grant'ed a permit~to remain open on the 4th. Voted to adv. for bids for the new police cruiser approved by the. Otis'coil and ~lr..Clute of the DPI~ were present and.~p0ke in regards to an article in the Standard times which stated that the'reason th~..pines were allb¥o~m was because o'f the failure of the DPl~-to spray for turpent~ beetle. Stated that the reason was due primarily.due to winter kill, caused by lack of water'the cold and open winter.
