The meeting came to order at 8.15 PM having been preceeded by a county
Commissioners meeting, all members of the Board being present except
Mr. Norcross, Mr. Whelden served as Ch. Pro Temf
Minutes Of the pre~ious meeting were read and approved, ' -~
Warrant No. 45 totalling $19,228.78'was presented by Town'Acct. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.'
~tr, Robert Christman was present End the matter ~f his'application for a
seasonal all alcoholic beverage license and spoke on the increased
amount of pppple here each season which he felt justified an i~ease
in the estimated seasonal population figure and the granting of additional
seasonal licenses, requested'that the board reconsider their position
on this matter. 'This matter was taken under advisement, and later in
' the meeting voted that no change be made in the present seasonal estimate.
~tr.'l~a~n Valero was present and requested 'permission to Work on 'tr~es that
are within 20 feet of the street and withinL the tow~s:gontrol without
a special permit for each tree. Stated that he was contemPlat~ng.~:idding
on some line clearing work for~the Gas and Elec. Co. where this would be
necessary and also inquired if he would have to provide for an inspector.,
This matter was,taken under advisement till the Board had conferred with
the DP~
Voted to advertise for bids for the setting and hauling of the various moorings
and buoys in the tlarbor and Madaket.
Voted to inquire of the Town Counsel as to the Boards power to make reg-
'ulations covering Nantucket Harbor.
Voted to have the soft shell clam':- season, sundays only run thru 9 June.

to make N. Beach St. no parking on both sides from Easton to Jefferson
Ave.
