The regular.weekly meeting of the Board came to order at 7:30 P.M. with all
members of the Board being'present. ~ . "i . '~
Warrant No. 19, totaling $91,S40.70, was presented by Town AccOuntant Barrett
and was checked and approved by the Board.
The of t'he prevxQus meeting wer~ read and apProved.
Mr. G. Brock was present relative to information on the boat ramp at
Polpis Harbor and was advised that the regular meeting of the County
Commissioners would be held next week, ' '
Mr. LesterKlepper of Restaurant ~ Waldorf Associ~%e~, Inc. and.~!~.~Thomas Fay
of Treadway Inns were present and discussed with the Board'th~ proposed
type of operation for the %~hite Elephant and the Harbor House for the
coming season. They stated that both Premises would be operated in the
same manner and style as theM formerly had been and that they would in
fact be operated this season by.the same Manager who operated them last
season.
The Red Men were granted a p~rmit'~ to sell Wine~ and malt beverages at a private
'~ party on ~{ay 4th at Red Men's Hall. : , :-"'
Edward B. Lewis and Richard B. Lewis, Jr. were appointed Fun6r~l'Directors.
Paul Shepard was ~rahted a permit to operate a'Hotdog l~ag6n'pu~a§ed from
Charles Robbins at the,Cicso Beach area and no other location.- ~,
Mr. Steph~n~Ji~deBaun was granted ~an'Innholders License at the' I~dia House
subject to inspection.
The Registrars'or'Voters submitted their report on the certification of the
signatures on the Petition for the Special Town Meeting advising that 198
names had been certiffed on the Petition as originally pr6gented and that
~thereafter five additional names had been submitted and certified. The
Board Vo~ed,~to accept the Petition as finally certified as of 1 May, 1968.
New England Tel. 5 Tel. Co. was granted a permit for a ped~s~tal-type pole
location on the Madaket Road. ~:~ '"
A lette~ was 'received from 'Henry coffin, Jr. et al relative to bulldozing on
his property. The contents were noted and filed.
The following taxi permit renewals Were voted approvgd: Bertha'O'Neil~ J. H.
Nood ~ Son, James Allen and Howard Hull. ,..j ~.. ,,, ,
There being no further business, the Board went into Executive Session and
adjourned at 10:00 P.M. :
