No. 9, t0~alling $286,'434.17 was presented by Town Acct. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. '" ~ ',"' '" ' Minutes Of the previous meeting were read and approved. ': ..... The Board discussed the applica~i'on gl' Mr. Grayson fgr lease Of space at ~ the Jetties. Beach area for the renting,:~6f small sailboats. Mr.-and "Mrs Carl'Erickson who ~perate a boat rental~agency were present and objected and the Board was also in receipt of a protest from Mr. ., Oscar Bun~ing who operates arc,the area in question and who had,~vised 'that there were two operators in the area at present'and that bocause of shoals etc. did not feel, that there was room for another operation. 'After consideration of this matter it was on motio~ duly made and 'seconded voted to deny the application of ~r. Grayson. .':~ .... Mr. Nathon Thurston wrote requesting that the Board take some action'relative to making Appleton Road passable',~ and it was voted to ~fer this matter to the County Clerk to determine the status of this road. '' The Board approved ithe installat~on of a ligh~ 'to illuminate ithe.Pay telephone at the ~iadaket Pier area. A Letter was received from a Mrs R. R. Titus relative to Zoning and-placed on file. ' , -,~ : '-'-~'". ~ ' Mr. George I¥.?m0rgan wrote ad¥ising that be'was making a'gift to ~he'Count¥~ ~Law Library ~fz~zxex of an up to date set of the United States Code~ Annotated and it was voted to send Mr. Morgan a letter of thanks for ~this gift. ~ ~ Mr. Irving Stanley r~quested a ~enewal of his auctioneers license and same was voted approved.
