HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-10-11Selectmen's Meeting 11 October 1967 The meeting came to order at 8:00 P.M., all members of the Board ~.being present except Ernest E. Whelden. Warrant No. 42, totaling $56,928.19~ was presented by Town Account Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Superintendent Driscoll of the Dept. of Public Works met:with the Board to disnuss the bids submitted under Article 59 of the · last Annual Town Warrant, bids having been submitted by Peneryn Co., Inc. in the amount of $8,450 and Robinson PiPe Cleaning Co. in the amount of $8,300 plus $500 for sealing equipment. Inasmuch as the Peneryn Co. bid was a total including sealing equipment, it was voted that!~they be awarded the contract. Mr. Allen W. Holdgate, Shellfish Warden, was present and discussed with the Board and Supt. Driscoll the matter of obtaining backfill at the new bulkhead construction in'Madaket. It was~agreed that the Dept. of Public Works take care of this matter. ~,~ Letters were'received from Crocker Sn0w~of thee Mass. Aeronautics Commission and Ellery Woodworth relative to the runway~ extension, contents were noted and filed. A letter was received from Shetterly Development Corp. requesting consideration of a wine and malt~package store license at their store premises at' Siasconset. Inasmuch as there are' no licenses'available, this matter was filed. The Board approved the bid of the Automatic Sprin~ler'c0rp. in the amount of $11,923.00.
