The minutes of the pre~ious,meeting ~ere read and approved.
The Board appr0ved"the locat~on'of a new fire'/hydrant on S0merket
_Road near Roberts Lane, same having been approved by the
.Chief of th& Fire Department.,
A letter was received from a Mrs. Ellen'Anders0n'complaining that
the'tolling of the bell,on the South Tower,was very ,dis-
turbing during nighttime hours and suggesting that some,
steps be,taken to stop the bell'from ringing between midnight
and 6:00 A.M. -The ~etter was placed on file' ,.i'
Notice was received of the annual meeting of the Siasconset Civic
Association at'8:00 P.M. this Friday,.to which the Board
was invited.
It was voted to advise the' conserVation Commission'to,open t~e
flume at the goose pond, and keep same removed to see what
effect this would have on the surface'water Conditions ~n
the'Lower Orange Street area.,
Notice was~received that the Annual County Hearing W0u~d'be held
at Nantucket on 8 september at 11:00 A.M. This~date and
time was voted approved.
