for. the purpose of selecting by ballot, under .the provisions 'of
Chapter 41, Section '11, General Laws, a member to' the Historic
District Commission to replace H. Err01 Coffin who had resigned.
Notice of the meeting was duly advertised as provided by law.

Lowell, ~James,K..Glidden, Allen E. Norcross,~Kenneth~W.:Holdgate,
and Ernesg~E. Whelden. Members present from the Historic District
Commission were J~ohn McCa!Icy, ~Jose Reyes, John McLaughlin, Jr.,
and H~old Lindley. '"
Applications .were received from Charles F. chambers~ lea

street; Richard P. Swain, Polpis ROad; and Sidney H. Kil!en, Easy
Street, Nantucket, Mass.

A written ballot was then taken and' Richard P. Swain received
votes; Charles F. Chambers,.one vote; ~and Sidney H; Killen,
five;~vote; ~being all: of 'the votes~ cast. :, ~Upon motion duly made and
, it was VOTED: That Sidney H.' Killen be appointed to the
