The minu~es of the previous meeting were ~ead and approved by the Board. Shellfish Warden Holdgate was ~present and conferred with the Board ~ relative to the Fairway buoys in Nantucket Harbor and the ,guest moorings and.the Polpis and Madaket Harbor buoys. It was voted to advertise these items,for bids at the first opportunity. . .... ' Mitchell Todd, Jr., Frank L. Hardy and Donaid. Holdgate were ~ appointed to a committee to study and report on the Easy Strel bulkhead. .~ Bids on the furnishing of an accounting machine that Was Voted~ under Article 18 for the Town Treasurer's office were as follows: urr°U , hs Corp,. ., -,~ $5,713 20 National Cash Register Co. ~ $6,420.00 It appeared from examination of the"specifications ~hat the National Cash Register Co.~machine complied most nearly with the specifications. It was voted that the bid be awarded to them. ~,~ ,~ The following.licenses and permits were'granted, all subject' to' inspection: ~Downyflake Doughnut Shop, Common Victualer; The' Gordon Folger, Innholder; Anne Walsh, dba Smokee's, Common Victualer, Ice Cream and Soft Drink; Ma~ion~Chase dba Marion's Snack Bar, Common Victual~r,',Ice Cream~and Soft Drink; James Allen, a Taxi permit.~ The Red Men were granted a'b~e~night malt beVerage 'license to be ,.~exercised at their meeting room on Saturday the 13t~ of May, 1967. ~ Commander Van'Arsdale of the V.F.W. was appointed ~ha~innan of the Memorial Day appropriation .... · app~eation' was'received from The,Islander, Inc., Anne Haley, Manager, for a change of location from WaBhington Street to Candle Street. Pease was g~anted'a renewal of his bus'stand permit for the Siasconset and Bathing Beach~Buses on Broad Street. Mr. H. Erol Coffin wrote~tendering his:re~ignation~as'a'member of :the Nantucket Historic Districts Coramission'effective'l June, 1967. It was voted same be accepted with regrets. There being no further business, the Board went into Executive ,,~ Session and adjourned at 10:00 P.M.~ :'-
