Ail members of the Board were present. ~ ~ : Warrant No. 15, totaling $18,044.39, was Presented by Town Accountant, Josiah S. Barrett, and was checked and approved Minutes of the'previoUs meeting were read and approved by the Board..~ .. ~. ~ : ~.'~.~' ~,-: ~ Mr. Abbott Johnson was present and ~sked the Board to take some ~action relative to 'the letting eot of Hummock Pond.~aOtng he was having.trouble with his-septtc tank drainage and also other people in the area were having trouble with water in their cellars. This matter was discussed at SOme length with those present, and it was felt that if we were ~ to let 'out.the. Pond at all,.it shoUld be done at once. It was,~voted to instruct the Dept.~0f· Public.Works.at once to open the Hummock Pond to the ocean immediately. Mr. JesSe Eldridge was present and~c0mplained that people at the top of the bank in Siasconset.were'throwing rubbish and other~materials over the bank creating an unsightly C0n-~. ~di~i6n which he felt~the Board should look into..Mr. Eld- ridge also advised that the Sconset Dump was in need of bulldozing, and this matter was referred~to the Dept. of Public Works. providing of a 3/4-~gn 4x4 vehicle for th~ DePt. of Public Works were received as follows: GOrdon Ford, Inc. Additional optional~equipment was quoted at $543.00 plus an'additional $300~for filling an extra main broom, making a grand total of $14,883.00, delivered tc Nantucket. Selectmen's Meeting Page 3 5 A~ril 1967 Applications were received from RaYmond F. and Katherine wiley ~ for a renewal of their Innholders license dba The Chant-~ icleer and from Walter F. Glowacki' dba Nobadeer Restaurant for renewal of his Common Vict. license and voted approved RaYmond and Katherine Wiley~dba The Chanticleer applied for ~a seasonal, all alcoholic bevera license at premises known as the Chanticleer and Walter F. Glowacki dba Nob- adeer Restaurant applied for 'a renewal of his alcoholic ~everage license at premises known as Nobadeer Restaurant and it was voted that same take the course prescribed by law. " .. '~ ~ Mr. Henry Coleman was granted a renewal of his Auctioneer,s license. · Notification was received from Fire Chief Bartlett that he will be taking the balance of his vacation from 10 April through 28 April and that Asst. Chief Hamblin will be in charge. Cap'n Tobey/s Chowder Bar was granted an Entertainment License for piano and recorded music on weekdays with dancing to be allowed on special occasions for weddings, parties, etc. Jose' Cecot dba Nantucket Bake Shop was granted a renewal of his soft drink and milk license at said place of business. There being n° further business, the Board went into Executive session and adjourned at 11.00
