quahogs, oysters, eels, or scallops,
without a permit issued by the Select-

Whoever shall take from the wabers
of Nantucket clams, quahogs, oysters,
eels, or scallops without a permit is-
sued by the Selectmen or after said
permit has been revoked by the Se-
lectmen or whoever for the' purpose
of procuring a, license or, permit
falsely makes any representation or
statement required shall be punished
by a fine of fifty dollars ($50.00) for
: each offense. : :. ,, ,:
/'. Section 2. The Selectmen shall issue
permits as directed in Article 130 of
~ the General Laws of the Common-
wealth of Massachusetts. "/~
Section 3. This permit shall 'allow
the taking of legal quahogs, and eels
during the period from April 1st ~o
March 31st, inclusive. ~ ..,:~ ,~. ~.' ~.
..-- Section 4. No quahogs,' clams, oys-
'ters, or scallops shall be taken by
;hand or otherwise from such seed
-:~ areas as may be set off or closed by
. the Sele'ctmer~ during the period these
~.. regulations remain in ./orce. Quahogs
' must measure 2 inches or more. Clams
~ 2 1/2 inches, Oysters 3 1/2 inches.
~ Section 5. Scallops may be' taken
from October I to March 31, inclu-
sive, in any manner whatsoever so
long as motor or sail power is n~
used and by any implement except
dredges. Limit, 1 bushel per person

Section 6. Oysters may be taken
from September 1 to April 30, inclu-

from Madaket ditch by a net having
a mesh measuring less than 1%
inches. Only dip ne~s can be used in
