Warrant No..!4, totaling $47~873.86, presented by Town was Accountant Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Mr. Liadis Cartwright was Present in behalf of the'Junior Class of Nantucket High School and.requested a permit~for a dance at Legion Hall to be held on Friday, March 31st from 8:00. P.M. to 12 midnight. Chaperons are to be Mr. Robert Boswell Catherine Slozek, and Mr. and Mrs. Jaques.. Same was voted approved by the Board. : received from Clara McGrady and other residents of~the Hummock Pond Road area requesting that the stop signs at the intersection of VesPer~Lane,.,Hummock Pond Road and Somerset Road be removed.~ Mr. Ralph Hardy and James Grangrad were present and protested the removal of these stop signs stating that the object.of the sign was~to slow down the fast-moving traffic traveling into Hummock Pond Road from Vesper Lane and into VesPer Lane from Hummock Pond Road. Murphy, $900.00 and George Allen, $1150,00.'' ~t was*voted that this matter be awarded the lowest bidder, Daniel J. Murphy. Bids were received under Article 78 for redecorating various rooms at Our Island Home from!Seddon W. Legg, Jr. in the amount of $3,269o81 with no time limit being stated and from Douglas B. Lawrence for $3,350.00, time limit on or before 1 A~gust, 1967. It was'voted that this matter be awarded to Douglas Lawrence with a completion date~of 1 August 1967 with the additional stipulation that once he starts the job he is to go forward without undue interruption. A notice was received from the General Services Administration exercising its option to renew the lease at the Selective Service quarters in the TownBuilding and was pla~ed on file It was voted to meet on Monday, April 3rd~at 4i00 P.M. with Fire Chief Bartlett, Franklin~Lamb and Ernest P. Reed to formulate the regulations for, the coming season as regards restaurants ~and hotels,. .. ~ It was voted that all dogs be restF~ined from running at large from 1 April, 1967 until further notice and to place an ad~ in the Inquirer & Mirrom.to this effect.
