Minutes of the previous meeting.were read ag~_~appr0yed. Mr. Edgar T..Lindstrom, Civilian~defense director was present and requested the Board to see if it.was 'possible f0::ob- tarn some permanent quarter for the CD radio equipment. The~,Board discussed ~his-matter~and was of the opinion ~ha~ one of ~he rooms at the central fire.station might. - be .. available . Ch. ~elden stated that he would look into the matter. ~ the matter of a manure pile at the property,of Ch~. ~est on Upper Main street, which is'leased to'Jean T; Leske. Mrs Murphy stated tha~ same was a health hazard and ~nu~sance~and that she .had lost rentals]of her small cottag, -astra result of same'. Ch. Whelden advised tha~ he would contact ~rs Leske to see if some method could be worked out,so'as not to bother any of the neighbors. A letter 'was received'from George Li ~cKenZie,'~0mp~aining of the same ma~ter and filed. A letter was received from the AmeriCan Youth Hostel~0rganizat re;~ative to permission to place some small :signs des- ~ ig~ating ~he route to the Surfside Hostel_on the streets o~-vn ~poles. The Board felt that it was_in order to doc~ ~ this but the exact~ method was not decided on at 'this time. A letter was received from fforris Phinney requesting that the Board consider ~he matter of.spraying TucRernucR for ~osquitoes this seas6fl and~taRen under.advisemen~ There being'no'fur~her business the~Boa~d went into'executive
