The meeting came t°Order at 7.30 PM all members of the' Board
~. being present.
Warrant No. 50, totalling $48,492;13 was presented bY Town Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Mr..LeRoy True of'the School Bldg. Addition Committee was
present and advised the Board that the Governor Corp.,
which had originally been awarded the sd~ool building con-
tract,'had withdrawn. The'Committee had~awarded the
contract to the next lowest bidder, Howard'Jelleme~'Inc.
,and s~ggested that the Board join in the execution of
said contract with'the Building Committee. It was voted
~t0 authorize the chairman to sign said contract in
behalf of the Board.
A notice was received from the Army Engineers relative to a
peti~i0n of Scott and Andrews to erect groins at their
property at so-called Hallowell Development.. A letter was
received from Gardner Russell Arty, representing the ~
pet~.~o~ers and explaining to the Board the necessity of
the erection of said groins. As the Board had no ob-.
jections, same was placed on file.'
A letter was-received from Chief Howes, calling the B0ard's
attention to the many calls the Department had received ~
duri.n.g.~ the deer season, and requesting that the Board see
if we could obtain'a full time Game War~.en for Nantucket.
This~matter.was voted referred to Rep. Desrocher to ob-
tain'{~hatever information he could'at the State level.
A letter {~A~ ~eceived from Mr. Philip Read dba Jared. Coffin
House,~ requesting permission to serve a buffet Style~
supper on New Years Eve, beginning at 12;30 AM and ending
at 1~0 AM; also for the sale of set ups from 12 midnight
t~ 1~0 AM. Same was voted approved.
Bids were received on interior work ~at Out'Island Home as follows

It was voted that same be awarded to Douglas Lawrence, the
lowest bidder at $3725.00.

'to 8:00 AM daily.in connection with baiting, for rodent
control. ~,
There being no further bUsiness the Board went into executive
session and adj. at 9:00 PM. ,~ ~ ,

, EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Board discd~Sed'the matter Of the` Contracts.'submitted
for the ~donstruction of the addition to ~the Town' Garage,
.. and ~it was voted~to award same to ~Howard Jelleme, Inc.
for the price of $25,621.10, without the cement slab floor.
