The meeting~came to order at 7.30 PM all members of the Board .~ being present.
Warrant No, 47, iotalling $29,742,86 was p~esented by Town
Acct. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes of the previous meeting were .read and approved.
Th'e Senior class was granted a permit !o hold a dance at Leg.
Hall on Priday from 8 to 12, Sp. police to be officer Gibbs.
The matter of opening bids received on the const of an add-
ition to the town garage was discussed and it was voted
not to opern either of the two ~ids received (Legg and Jelleme
until we had more information on proper procedure on this
matter.
Bids on int,.riot work at our Island Home were received as
follows: Allen Holdgate & Driscoll .... 4416.12
Douglas Lawrence '-. 3975.00
Inasmuch as both of these bids Were in excess of the bal.
of the appropriation it was voted to reject same, redraw
the specifications and re-bid this matter.

Rep.. Desrocher was present to ask if the Board had any items.
,that would necessitate a spo act. of_the' legislature as
.bills have to be submitted by 7 Dec. It.was the feeling
pr, the.Board that we had nothing of this nature at this time.
A letter ,was received from Sherburne Associates req~estfing-
permission to plant an Elm on Main 'st. hear the Christman
stores and also to prune and feed some additional trees.' The
Board discussed this matter and felt that our policy would-
. have to-,b~ that all work on public'trees would have_ to be
done by Town forces.' As regards the new tree it was voted to
advise that if they desired to provide the tree we would
have same. planted.
Ch. Whelden brought up the fact that the town dump at Madaket
was to be baited under the rodent control program from the
Sth thru the 10th of Dec. and it was voted to adv. that
the dump would be closed during these~days from 3.30 PM.
There being no further business the Board'went into executive
session and adj. at 9.30 PM .
