Barrett and checked ~nd approved by the Board. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and/approved. Mr. Alex. M. Craig Jr.~'Ch. of the' Zoning~study committee was present and reported on what the committee had accomplished to'date, stated they'now felt it was necessary.to obtain funds to retain professional help,' that they had .interviewed various firms and that the. estimated cost of the necessary survey etc. would be ~10,000 dollars; .that the Civic league bad.under consideration sponsering a~drive to raise this ,,, money; 'r " A letter was received, from the Legion Post 'advising that the Hall had been leased to James I.ong for a party on Labor 'day and that the Legion bar wo~.ld not be open. Contents were noted and filed. The Boardwas in receipt'of a precept from the'sheriff relative to the drawing of traverse .jurors for the'fall sitting of the Superior Court and it was voted to meet on Friday at 8.30 AM at the office of the Town Clerk to take care of this duty. Mr. Wm. Schusiick was granted a permit for a folk singing concert at Bennett Hall on Sunday the 4th. A request was receivd from the Planning Board'f, or the transfer of $1500.00 dollars from the Reserve fund to meet the necessary expense of planning board work in connection With the Zoning study, and same was voted referred to the Fin- ance Committee. Notice was received of the resignation of James Gardner as N. Watchman at OUr Island Home. and filed. Voted to approve the placing of' the Yacht Club floats on Harbor View Way for the winter months. Ch. Whelden noted that the conservation study group hoped to have their report completed and hold a public, meeting to report on 5 Nov. Voted to ,.adv. for bids' on sale of old 1930 LaFrance fire engine same to be received by 29 Sept. 66. There being no further business the Board went into emeu~tive session and adj. at 9.30 PM~
