The meeting came to order at 8:00 PM, all members of the Board being present.
Warrant # 32,~.totalling $177,956.96 was presented by town Acct. Barrett, and
checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes of the Previous meeting were read and approved.
Mr. William Schustik and Stoddard Melhado were present and requested permission
to operate Puppett Shows in the afternoon and evening, not later than
8:30 PM at premises on Middle Pearl Street. After due consideration, same
was voted approved.
Mr. Robert Blair was pressnt and spoke at some length as regards the Board's
action of last week in denying the application of Schustik and Melhado
to operate a Cider House type operation.
Dr~ Wiley~L'~'~C~l.lins~was~presentr~and ccmplained as regards the street sweeper
being used near his residence in the early hours of the morning. Dr.
Collins also questioned as to who was to pay the first $50.00 of house
visits under the new Medicare provisions, and the Board stated that they
would look into this matter.
A letter was received from Cyril Ross as regards a noisey dog of one Richard
Ramos at North Water Street. Mrj Day, the Dog Officer, reported that he
had talked to Mr. Ramos and that the~ dbg Was properly caged, and that he
felt that Mr. Ramos was taking ~easonable precautions so as not to make
the dog a nuisance.~ Mr. Richard Ramos was also present and explained his
position as regards this complaint. The Board felt that no further
action was indicated in this matter.
VOTED: to' advertise for bids on the installation Of a heating plant at Our
Island Home, same to be in the hands of the Board by 2~ August, 1966

A letter was received ~from one Nina E. Pearson complimenting the To~n on its
new Comfort Station facilities, and filed.
Don' W. Colley aba the Island Dairy Bar and the ~am~ Post' Shop~ was' granted
Corem. Vict., Milk and Ice Cream,'and Soft Drink Licenses at each of these
establishments.
