Whelden, Mr. Norcross served as Ch.. pro tern. :' warrant NO. '22;' totalling 48,969.19 was presented by Town Acct. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. Minutes of the p'revious meeting were read and approved. The following license and Permits were 'approved subject to insp. Richard Coffin, Miacomet Golf, Common Vict. Norman C. Claxton, Sankaty Golf Caddy camp. Sankaty Beach Club,'Seasonal~all alcoholic bev. lice. : take the course prescribed by law.' Taxi 'permits: John Gebo' and Lawrence Ayers · The Ropewalk Restaurant, Comm victi~ piano and recorded music. The New Sea Cliff Inn of Nantucket Ino. Innholders and recorded music.' On motion made and seconded it was voted that Supt. 0f~ Public Works Driscoll be appointed as local supt. of inspect pest control.' '-:, An application was received from Garrett Pagon and George Davis fo~ permission to rent surfboards-at the Cisco Beach and it Was voted' to confur.with'the members of the Park and · Rec. Advisory board on this. Voted to adv. for bids on the buoys for Nantucket.. and Madaket harobrs,', same to be in by next meeting. Mr. Thomas Devine,,Mr. Gordon Folger, Mr~'Har01d Galliard, Ray Wiley, Doug Wiley and Christian Sche11 were present and discussed with the Board the matter of the inspections being made before license~ are issued. Stated that at this time of year it was very difficult to obtain the workman necessary on short'notice 'to take care'of.the items asked for by the inspectors and or obtain 'necessary.equipment. After some discussion of various 'aspects of this matter it was voted to meet with the inspectors-and determine their thoughts on the procedure being followed.
