The meeting'came,to orde~','at 7.30 PM all members of the Board
being present ,except Ch. Chadwick, Mr . Whelden served
,, as Ch. Pro Tern.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Warrant No. 7, totalling $21,029.41 was presented by Town Acct.
~,Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
'Mr. and Mrs Charles Flanagan of Union Street were. present along
with Mr. Daniel~Murphy and,protested again the matter of.
the gas odor at the Flanagan residence on Union Stl which
· had again~occurred on 11 Feb.. 1966 in the'Ag Mr. Flanagan
stated he felt .that the Board should he-able to do some~
.thing to prevent .this from recurring as it has. from time
to time. Advised that they had done everything possible
to correct this matter but that it still persisted and
that .as a result of~same~and the effect .on his' family they
had at this time moved out of their residence. It was
implied to the Board that.this :condition mrose due to the
fact that the Gas & Blec..Co. was discharging waste from
their gas plant into the sewer. The Board advised that we
would look into the matter and see what we could do to
correct same.
Mr. John Becker was~present and requested, permission to grade
a section of~Winn Road near his property, which had been
formally laid out by the town but was still in the con-
dition of a rutted road, and same was approved.
Bids on the furnishing Of.window shades for the New ToWn Bldgl
were received as roi-lows: ' ''

It was voted that same 'be awarded the lowest bidder Mannys
upholstery shop color ~o be selected by Board.
-Mr. Herbert ~..Terry wrote thanking the Board fOr his appt.
as a member of the bldg. comm. ,on. the high school addition but .
advising that he must decline to serve. Upon request of the
members of this committee the Board appointed three additional
members~to~said committee ~ namely Robert Taylor, John F~ Meilbye
and John Buckley .to serve with LeRoy True and John Mendonca.
There being no further business the Board went into executive
session and adj. at 9PM.
