Th~ meeting ~came to,order at 7.30 PM all member8 of :the Board
'being present,' except Mr, Chadwick 'Mr. Killen served as
Ch. Pro Tem.
Warrant No. 2;-totalling 64,837.69 was presented by Town Acct~
Barrett and checked'and approved by' the Board,
Minutes of the Previous meeting were read and approved..
Bids for the .furnishing or.Gas and Oil for Town owned vehicles
were received from only one bidder, Island Mtr.s as follows:
Reg.' Gas .32¢gal Oil 55-45-35 per quart depending on grade.
Said bid was voted accepted.
The 'following 'licenses and permits Were applied for and approved:
Island Mtrs Class 1 used car dealers
Gordon Mir. Co.~Class'i~used car 'dealer
Donald Allen, Class ll.used car dealer.
The Woodbox, Innholders ' .-, ~'.
Knights of Columbss, permit to hold a Donkey Basketball
exhibition on Feb. 16th and 17th at,the High School
plus.a permit to sell.food on said nights.
'The Junior Class, Nant. High School was granted a permit for a dance at Legion Hall on .14 Jan. from 7.30 to 12.
^n application was received from John W. Bddleton.Jr. for the
possition of Custodian at the new Town bldg., and filed.
Mr. Jesse Bldridge, caretaker Of the sconset Comfort Sta. was
present and discussed with the board, necessary repairs~at
said station. Mr. Bldridge was~to obtain prices and estimates
so that an appropriate article might be put in the Town Meet-
ing warrant.
A communication was received from Cong. Hastings Keigh relative
to Fed. Tax dept.-service at Nantucket and also realtive to
the stationing of Coast Guard cutters in the area for next
season.
It was voted to open a Warrant for asp. Town ' meeting and' insert
therein an'article for the construction of an addition to
the High School,~and another article to see if the town would
vote to have the treasurer act as colector of taxes.
On motion made and seconded it was~'voted to close the'warrant
for said sp. town meeting, same to be held at the High School
Aud. at 7.30 PM on Monday 31 Jan. 1966.
There being no further business the Board went into executive
session and adj. at 9.PM. ·
Applications fo~~ to Our Island Home, of Augustine
Lawrence and G6rdon Peiers were received and approved.~
