Chadwick. Mr. K~llen ~' served as Ch, Pro ~ Tern ........ ~ ~ Warrant No. 1 totaliing $6',09'3.76 was pre'%hied by Town Accl. Barrelt and~checked and approved by .the Board.' Minutes of the previous meeting were read ~nd approved. Bids on the furnishing of fuel oil to various town bldgs were received as follows: Sherburne' Oil Co. 14.6 cents ~er gal. Island Set. & Fuel Co. 14.75 cents per gal. Harbor Fuel Co. - ........ 15.25 cents per gal. It was vot~ed ~that the bid contract be awarded the lowest' bidder, Sherbuene Oil Co. Bids on the printing of the 1965 annual Town report were as f ol.l_ows: -Poets Corner Press 6.95 per page. Inqu. & Mirror ....... ?.09 per page ',, Voted thai same be awarded the lowest bidder, Poets ,. corner Press. Mr..Richard Parker and Earle Smith of the Jared Coffin House were present and presented a lett'er settout out a complaint,-- in which they~stated that the other year round on'premises ..'license holder wa.s closing at odd hours sometimes as early as. 9.30 PM and that patrons there were forced to'"come to the Jared Coffin House, which they did not want to do and on arriving were creating disturbances. It was suggested that they confer with the other operator and see if they could work out any solution to this stated problem. Mr. Smith stated that he did not feel it was up to them to do this but was up to the Board. This matter was taken under advise- ment .... Mr. Walter Miko Submitted his applicaiion for the. Position of 'custodian at the new town bldg. and same was noted and filed. Mr.' Michael O. Lamb was granted a permit,'to operate a iruck whic! at times would exceed the town weight limit .over the'f roads, St. Wharf, Whale St. Wash. St. Francis St. Orange St. Fairgrounds road, Surfside and Sewer bed road, and return. This on the condition that Mr. lamb would be responsible for any damages that might be occasioned to the town roads or sewers by this operation. Mr. ,Albert Stackpole wrote asking permission to run an electric line on the town poles at Surfside~to his Surfside Snack', Bar for next summer. This matter was taken under advisement for consultation with the Gas &'Rlec.,Co. Mr. Albert Silva Sr. wrote requesting p~rmission to 'install an underground oil tank at his garage premises, a portion of which would be under the town owned Cornish St. same was approved on condition that the town t~ould be held harmles: as a result of any damages that might occur by reason of same The following license renewals were approved.
