The meeting' came to Order 'arT.B0 PM ali members of the Board
being present.
Warrant N°.~ $1, to'tailing $$1,385.21 was presented by Town
Acct. Barrett and checked and approved with the exception
of one item/
Minutes o~ the previous meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Charles C. Robbins was present and submitted a request
for approval of the operation of a mobile snack bar
at the Cisco Beach area. This matter was taken under ad-
visement.
Mr. ~iatthew Jaeckle Supt. 0f Streets was present, and protested
to the Board the action of 'last ,week in which the Board
at the request of the Conservation Comm. turned over an
area at Mioxes pond to the Conservtion Comm. Mr. 3aeckle
stated that he did not believe the Town had any ownership
in the area in question, and that he had an interst in this
property. The Board advised that of course if the Town ~did
not have any interest then it could not turn over anything
to the Comm.
Along the same lines a letter Was received from the Park and
Rec. Comm. protesting the Boards action~ in the above matter
as to all of the areas, and filed.
Mr. John Santos and Mr. Wm. Yarmey were
to the Board that the S,onset Fire Co. would like to take
over the present School"House~ and,convert* it to a fire and
Police stattion. Advised that they,had consulted the School
Dept. ,and that the Comm. was willing'to'release this prop.
to the Townl The Board ha~ on file the letter from the
School Comm. 'to this effect. This waa discussed at some
length and it was the consensus of opinion that this matter
would have to be the subject of ,an article in the Town
warrant. , .
M~. Anthony Docca Was granted a renewal of his Comm. Vici. lic
at Andys Diner for 1966.
The Board was in receipt~0f a plot plan showing the area of
Sparks ~ aVe. which had been taken in by Dr. Potters wall
construction, it appearing that this area~ extended into the
.road a distance of 19* and a frontage of 68 feet. It was
voted to inquire of the DPW (this being a Ch. 90 Road)-if
they have any interest in this matter before arriving at
a decision.
A letter was received from Fire Chief B~tlett advising that
he would be ,taking the balance of his vacation starting
27 Dec. and that ~Asst. Chief Hamblin~ would be in charge.
A request for a transfer of funds was received from the School
Dept. and referred to the Finance Comm.
'Mr. Frank Marks was ~resent and brought to the B0a'rds attention
information to the effect that the Sewer line.which was
laid in Hooper Farm road about a year and a half ago had
been apparently installed without the rubber gaskets in
the connectors and that consequently the water was leaking
out of'the pipe leaving the sewer solids and that they had
had two or three stop?a~es in the area.~The Board stated
that they would look ln~o the_r_a_atter.
