The meeting came t0 order at 8PM having' been preceeded.by a
County Commissioners meeting, all members of the Board
being presefit.
Warrant'No. 45, totalling $15,885.76 Was presented by Town Acct. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes~.of.the previous.meeting were read and approved.
The Board discussed a~letter'from the DPW relative to Ch. 90
,' funds available under existing bond issues and it was
the sense of the meeting that we ask for 21,000 dollars
as our share of a Ch. 90 project on Eel' point road, said
21,000 to me made up of 11,611,48 from Ch.~822 bond issue.
.. and 9,388.52 from Ch. 679 bond issue;
On'this same ~ubject Eel "pOint road.a letter was received
from Frank Dinsmore relative to a planned proposal to
extend this eel.point'road into Tristram avenue near
the Town beach at Diones.'Mr. Dinsmore enclosed a plan
showing that the proposed layout which would follow a
prop. road would go right between buildings recently
constructed by he and Wm. Haddon,'and suggested that they
.would be willing to trade an equal area~of land to the ~
East for the existing road, so that any paved area would
not be so near their bldgs. The Board felt that the same
purpose as far as the town was concerned would be served
and voted to advise that an appropriate article would be
inserted in the annual town meting warrant.
A lett'er from'Mr, cyril Ross relative to things that he felt
should be done to spruce up the Consue Springs area was
received.and discussed and this matter was.also recorded
. as needing an article for appropriation of funds.
The Legion Aux. was granted a permit for a'Poppy day on 6 Nov.
The Byron~L.~"Sylvaro Post was granted a permit t0 parade under
arms on Vet. day 11 Nov. 1965.
A notice Was received from the L.C. relative':to a pet. of
Verney to register land in the area of Capaum pond, and
it was voted to refer this matter to the town counsel'rel-
ative to perserving public rights in the rutted road which
runs through .this. area. ~-. . ~ ~
There being'n~ further business the Boated Went into executive
session and adj. at 9. 30 PM.
