'1965 ,,,' ~ , ',,, ? - :, .,' ~, , ~',, The 'meeting came to order at 8PM all members of the Board being present. : ...: ~ ' Warrant No. 33, totalling $95,217.81 was p~esented~by T6wn Acct. "'Barrett and checked 'and approved by the Board. Minutes 6f the previous meeting were read'and 'a~pr0ved. Mr. Don Ailen was present and complained abOut the carnival ~which was in operation opposite his property related various incidents which had occurred, which did not concern the Board and on which he was referred to the Police Dept. He called to the Boards .attention the fact that the Town had a by-law prohibiting living in trailers and demanded that the Board take some action, on this matter. ·, ,Mr.-John McLaughtin Jr' was present on'the same'matter. ,, The Board discussed~this matter later in ,the meeting and voted to advise the operators that 'they could not live in the trailers, but after further consideration this matter was/tabled due'to the fact that we had 'in good faith given the Legion a permit to hold a'carnival.' Mr. Linwood Bi Procter was granted a renewal of his license as a Public weigher. A letter of thanks was received from the Nant. Garden club for the Boards cpoperation in closing off Orange St. A letter.was receiVed from residents of Surfside requesting the paving of the now dirt road which goes ,to the Old Life · Saving station.' This matter was referred to the Sup.t of streets for an article in the 'next warrant. Walter Jo.Glowacki was granted a permit .tO move a small bldg from S. Prospect street to property of Manuel~Souza off Fairgrounds road. The matter of hourses riding on the sid~valks about town was . ' brought to the Boards attention and it was voted to publiciz the fact that this was against the law. There'/~ei~g no further business the Board went into executive session and adj. at 8.45 PM. Secy.
