The~'meeting '&ame to order at 8PM all members of the Board being present.
Warrant No. 25, t'otalling $91,910.27 was prei~ented by' Town Acct. Barrett a.nd checked and approved..bY the Board....
Minutes of the Previous meeting were read a~d'approved.
A letter was received from Erica N. jessup of Dave St. requesting
a slow children sign on this'street and same was .approved.
Mr. and Mrs MaUry were present 'and discussed with the BOard the
matter of the location-of the sightseeing bus stand in front
of their place of business, asked if the Board would'consider
moving the stand up to the South' or,Oak Street. This matter
. . was taken under advisement and the'Board later approved
this suggestion and voted to move the Bus stand to the NE
corner of S. Water 'and Oak streets.-
Mr. McAuley of the H.D.C.~was'present and stated that.he would~
like to explain, the position:of said commission with- reference
to the. demolition of the former Hayden property. Stated that .
they had no objection to the .iazeing of the bldg. but objecte~
to the proposed use of the area as'a used car lot, stated
they :felt .the area should be enhanced by making it ~nto a .
public .park or putting it:to use for the .publics benefit such
as a car parking-lot but'not for the sales of used cars.
'/The Board took this matter under, advisement inasmuch as same
~was not .formally before us as an appeal body.
TOWn Counsel Sanguinteei wrote advising that' the maximum fine
. for litter that could be 'established was $50.00 and that
a By-law would have to voted by the' Town meeting.
