County Commissioners meeting all members of the Board being

Minutes 0~'the previous meeting were read and'aPproved.
Mr. Elmer~,D~viS<afld,Charles Handy members' , of the Sia~oonset
,' Wetter Commission met with the Board for ,the purpose of
~select~ng a~member to said commission ~o replace Mr.'Mark
Johnson who had deceased; The names of Francis Santos,
Fred Bgan and Douglas'Wiley were submitted for consideration
,and the joint board balloted by written ballot and elected
'Mr. Francis Santos to serve on this commission until the
: next regular town eleCtion. ', ,,-?
Mr. H. Errol Coffin, Mr. John McAuley'and Mr~. Jose ReYes of
the H.D.C. were present and suggested that it would facilitat
.their work and that of the Board'of Assessors if ~he Town,
would ~dopt ~ by-law to have 'persons obtain'a~bldg, permit
before undertaking any work. It was also suggested that some
regulation' relative to litter be adopted and stringently en-
forced in order to keep the island attractive. The Board
felt both of these ,matters were of merit ~and'voted to ask
the Town Counsel for an opinion as to what we might dol
Mr. Coffin also reported on 'progress on the Town Office bldg.
Mr. Chester Barrett~ Jr. was granted, a reneWai of,his taxi permit.
Bids on Harbor Guest 'moorings and Madaket buoys were'submitted
b~ ,only one bidder Mr.~'Geor.ge Andrews'in the following amounts

Madmket Buoys ' 995'.00 dollars.and it was ~oted that:

and fo~ recorded music. Same were approved closing hou~
Mr. Albert L. Silva-Jr.: and Norman Gottlieb applied for a Common
Vict License and recorded music permit ~at~premises on N.

Mr~ Gordon Polger was granted a renewal of his Innholders Lic.
and dthe Board also approved a'yellow line a~ his driveway
Mr. Richard Coffin at Miacomet GolE Was gransed a ~'enewal 'of' his

The Board adspted the regula$ion under the enabling act. with
reference ~o motor bikes, motor scooters and motorcycles
tha~ same could n6t be operated in-the Old and Hist. Nant.
