The meeting came: to order at 7.30' 'PM all members f 'thee Board
Warrant No. 10 totalling 32,vo4'.99 was presented by Town Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. ~
Minutes of the previo~s meeting were read and apprsved.
Mr. Allen Holdgate, Shellfish warden was present and conferred
with the Board relative to shellfish matters, on recomm-
'endation of the warden it was voted to open the'Horseshed
area to the taking of scallops for comm. use from 22 March
thru 31 March 1965.. and further that the season for the
taking of soft shell clams be extended until the~last Sunday
of May 1965, limit one 10 qut pail per person, Sundays only.
The~B~oard' vo~ed ~'o~adv. for ~own ~nd county appointive position
applications to be in the hands of the Board by the 24~h.
mr. J'o~n ~Laughlin Jr.-was 'Present'and fi[ed an application
for ,appointment to the Finance Committee and the Airport
Comm. same were filed.
Mr. Seddon Legg Sr. was present and in behalf of the Firemens
Asso. invited the Board and wives to attend the supper
, and dance of ~he Asso. a~ Leg. Hall on Sat. ~he 13th.
An application from the N.~.Tel.and Tel'for permits to lay
buried cable along ~various streets and highways was rec-
eived and as per the suggestion of the Co. vo~ed ~o adv.
same in the local papers r
Mr. Harold Galliard, presented an article~he'was writing for .~
the Nantucket Light relative to litter, and the Board was
'in accord with the tenor of same.
Mr. Myles m.'Reis was ~r~nted a'renewal °f"his 'permit to'transpOrt
garbage under the provisions of sec. 3lA of Ch. 111 of the
Gen. Laws.
The following applications for renewal, of seasonal alcoholic
beverage licenses were received and voted to take the
course prescribed by,law~ A. Preston Manchester; Frank A.
Burr; Murrays Beverage~ Store Inc.,~, Siasconseg Book Store
"?talter F. Glowacki; Richard H. Parker and Rarle Smith;
C. and Helen F. Hatch and The Opera House Inc.
