Beach street a~d also requested approval ,,of ~ Hydrant on the W~ Side of,Hair street ,between Farmer and ~im S~reets and both of these installations were voted approved. It was ,voted to advise that the location was , portant ~aud that we would have to know that before we could take an~ action. ,-~"~ ,',..: ,~ ~/'~-~ ',' ,,, ,/' A letter was received from James Gj Crowly-of The Nantucket Ligh~ ,,,~ :relative to the phblishing of the~Warrant,,conten~s noted and filed,' same having been,previous answered., There being 'no' further business ,the ,Board went into executive · a County Commissioners meeting.All members being present. MinUtes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Warrant No. 5, totall~ng~$15,681.04 was.presented by Town Acct Barrett. and checked and approved by the Board. Mr. Harold B. Ryder Jr. was present relative to a h~e~ing on t matter of selling to a minor, by Ryders Packages ~tore Iq by his clerk. It appeared that the District Court had fou the clerk guilty and that. a fine had been paid. This matt was discussed as some length with Mr. Ryder and the Board took the matter under advisement, and later in executive session voted that the license of Ryders Inc. be suspende for three days,~ 9th 10th and llth of Feb. 1965. Mr. Allan Holdgate was present and suggested to the Board that the bag limit covering commercial scallops be increased f the remainder of the season to $ and 10 bags per person s per Boat, and that the Board establish a temp. control ii of 22 degrees F. under which sm scalloping would be sllo~ It was on motion duly made and seconded so voted.. Warden Holdgate als0 suggested that the area from Coatue Pt. to~~P¢channel and all to the south of said line be clo'sed t~ scalloping ~ue to the amoutn of seed in the 'area" and it was so voted ..... Warden Holdgate also reported that he had notified'~e6 P, Davi~ to be present for a hearing relative to his taking seed scallops, Mr Davis being present, Mr. Holdgate adv! the Board that he had checked his catch and found.that hi had a subastantial amount m~ re of seed than the law a11( and presented to the Board samples of what he had taken t Mr. Davis, catch. Mr. Davis,disputed that these were see( and felt their was some question, this matter was discus: with Mr. Davis,~Warden Holdgate and members 'of the Board familiar with seed scallops. The Boardvoted later in exe, sessbon.to suspend the license of Mr. Davis from this da' to Monday Feb. 8th 1965 .... Mrs Caroline Stevens .wrote to the Board requesting a street 1: of .lights on Kimball Ave. and same was placed on our lis' for later examination. Bids on printing the. three booklets Of the' ToWn~ Warrant Were received from only one bidder, Inq. & Mirror' in the tot amount of 351.00 .for the three printings and it was Vote that said bid be~accepted. .., · It was vOted to write to N.E.'Airlines prOtesting the service that was present!y being given the Nantucket area. Voted to write Senator Allan Jones requestinghis support of t DPW bill' so as to allow the town to vote on same.
