The meeting came to order at 7.30 PM all members of the Board
'being present'.,
Warrant No. 2 totalling $49;392"65 was prese'~ted~by Town Acct,
Barrett and checked and approved by the-Board.,
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
A bid'was reCeived from Don Allen relative'to'the request
.for bids for furnishing town vehicles with gasoline and
oil, before said bid was read, Mr. Wm. Reith of Island
'Mtrs stated that :it was their, understanding that none
of the local dealers were 'to bid but that,ii, bids were
to be entertained~they Island Motors would 'submit a bid
Inasmuch as there appeared to be some~confusion about
whether or not the Board was going to follow through' on
this matter it was on Motion made and seconded Voted' that
the request for bids stand, and after further discussion'
it was voted to extend the time for submission of same
until next meeting.
Bids were received on the 'printing of the 1964 Town Report as~
follows:, Inquirer & Mirror '~ -7.09 per page~
Poets Corner Press ..... 5.25 per page.
Voted that same be awarded the lowest bidder Poets
corner press.
Mr.Donald Allen was granted a renewal of his Class II used
car permit ~
Mr. james Cr0wley,;Publisher ~of the Nantucket Light was ,present
,and'stated he,wished to Comment on the matter of the re-
ported proposal to place the, advertising of the Town Warrant
in only one paper, stated that he ,felt this'would be a,
.mistake, as if we later found ourselves with~0nly one paper
'' that the.Town would'be paying thru the .nose-for its adv.
After some discussion Mr. Crowley was advised that the Board-"-
"and.the Finance Committee who, each, publish different parts'
of this advertising had not made any'formal dicision on this

A list of the presently printed bills-filed by 'Rep.. Desrocher-
was 'received contents noted and placed, on file '
A letter was 'r~'ceiv~d from Mr.' Robert"Jay;' advising .'that he.,
would be happy to have the Town use ,the Quaise point spit
for a disposal, area for,the Polpis Harbor dredging
Marie Tutein dba Wood Box was' g~anted a renewal of 'her' Innholders
license'. '-
The Na~t Student CoUncil was, granted a permit fo'r a teen dance
,-~' it-Legion Hall'on Sat. from 7.30 PM to 11.30 PM.
There being no further business the Board went into` executive
session and adj. at 9.30 PM. //7 - '-' -

and matters(Per%mining to the'Town meeting.
