being present.

Minutes of the previous meeting Were read and approved~
Mr.~C. George Anast~s ~sq. was present With reference to the
'petition of Mr. ~Charles M. Thomas Jr.~ for a seasonal
all alcoholic common vict license at No. 5 ~ Union
and presented petition signed, by residents approving the
Boards granting said license,' Mr." Anastos stated that.
Mr. Thomas intended to enlarge his present, facilities
and to operate a 1st class restaurant and wanted the
'said license to go with same and~ complement it, that he
did not intend to'operate a bar. The Board took the matter
under advisement and later in executive session Voted
to deny said application,
Plan*ned ~pi~ytime mothers were granted approval to hold the well
child clinic on Nov. 5th and 6th.
On request of Chief Bartlett of the pire Depti and approval of
Chief Howes Mr. Ralph Hardy was appointed as a Sp. Police
for the-Pire dept.
A letter was received from ~. Arthur Davis thanking the Bo~d
for his appointment to the Airport Commission.
An application was received from the N.~. Tel and Tel for a pole
location on Surfside Rd. and tabled for'one week.
bit. George Morin was granted a permit to move~a bldg. at Madaket
during weeks of Oct. 7th ~nd 14th. '
A letter was~received from Mrs C. Harold Taylor commenting on
the nuisance caused by motor bikes and filed.
A letter Was received from the Ch. of Commerce enclosing~dopies
of.,the.reports at their annual meeting and clarifying
some of the statements made in the press as regards same.
voted to Open the season for "the taking of soft shell claims as
follows: Oct. 6th to Dec. 29th inclusive, Sundays only.'
limit one ten quart pail per Person, per sunday.
There being no further business the Board went into executive -session and adj. at 10 PM.
