The meeting came to order at 8PM all members of the Board being present Warrant No. 34 totalling $16,910.69 was presented by Town Acct. .... Barrett and checked ~nd.approved by the-Board. Minutes of 1 the.previous meeting were read and approved. Mr. Allan Stapleton of lthe Chamber of.Comm~ was present and discussed with the Board the matter of-the proposed, fall 'schedule.of the Steamship Auth.~ and it was voted to ask Mr. Berna to meet with us to discuss this matter. Mrs Donald Allen was present with reference to the incinerat6r at the'lst Nat. Stores.~Ch. Killen advised of, his meeting with.the eng. and what.had been done.and how the said equip- ment should be operated, and the Board was.in receipt of a letter from Mr. Ed. A.:Packer.from,lst Nat. Stores advising of what they had done and requesting~permission to start using this incinerator~again. It was.voted to advise Mr. Packer that the.Board would grant them-a'one weeks trial usuage.of this equipment, same to be operated in accordance with the ~ng. instructions and no garbage to be burned, and that.after.this one week period we would.take up the matter Rep. Desr0~her Was Present~nd advised'that he was quite hopeful that we would have,some definate:word on the Hither Creek project*in.a very short time. Stated that he felt quite sure that.the..dept, would agree to'put up their~ share of this ~project~out. of,their capital outlay, fund in a short time and that he,would advise us further on same, Mr. David Conway'was present and'~asked the Board various question: as regards,facilities necessary.to be provided in restaurant~ The Senior Club-,was granted a permit.to-conduct,a dance at Leg. Hall on Sat, from 8 to 12 Mr. and Mrs Victor ~errantella and Mr and Mrs Richard Peck being,the'chaperones. Mrs Normm Texei~a of lower orange'Street ,requested a slow childre~ sig~in,the vicinity of Hatch's Package store and same was voted referred to the Highway dept. for attention. was received from Mr. and Mrs Peter Malcolm with referem A n0ii~ was received from the Local Amer.~Legion Post advising' of the change of the Gen.,Mgr. of the Clubs'All alcoholic license due to the death of Mr. Chanucey Chappell and sub- mitting'the name of Victor Ferrantella as the'Gen, Mgr. same was voted approved suQ~ect to ABCC approval. 'A request'~as re~eived'fr'0~'aober~ Les~'e.dba C~p'n To6eys'for a sunday ent. lic, for piano'and guitar and also to have the weekday,permit which.is now just for a piano enlarged .to cover a,,guitar player and'folk singer-not to be operated together.with the piano. Same was voted approved with a midnight~limit on the guituar and folk singing. ~,~t.,,of Streets Jeeckle submitted specifications'for the center- lineing of,town streets and highways:it appearing tha the state would not be doing same this year. The Board discussed this matter at some,length and felt'that this~late in the season and with the ~robabilitv.that t~e §late_would be agai~ doing this work another year that we ~noul~ no~ expend town, funds to do this work at this time.', and it was so voted,
