The meeting came to order at-7.30PM all'members of the Board
- being-present'except Mr. Desrocher. ~-,' ~'~"
Warrant No. 6, totalling.t37,843.01~ was presented by Town Acct. -~ Barrett,and checked and approved by the Board.*~
Minutes of the Previous meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Tell Berna, Steamship Auth. member and Mr. Alexander Craig 3r
,Finance advisory member were present and discussed with
the Board the contents of various bills filed in the Leg-
i~lature,with reference to the authority. Mr. Berna out-
lined for'the Board the authorities position on these bills
*The Board felt that we should make'an effort to attend
'. the hearings on same in Boston when same'are posted.
A letter was received from Rep. Desrocher advising tha't the
bill having to do with constables had been passed by the
Senate and was awaiting the Gov. signature,,and that the
-bill with reference~to the-taking of the water co. had
been admitted and would be:assigned for hearing. '
The Senior-~lub was granted a permit to hold'a dance' at Bennett
Hail on Friday from 9 to 1, chaperones Mr. and Mrs Pearl
and Mr and Mrs Kalman.
A letter was received from Mr, Walter Houghton relative to'the
drainage on Walsh street and supporting the article.per-
~,taining to this matter and filed.' ,' ..... ~ : .... ~
'A 'request was ,received from Walter Glow~ki for__the Board ~app-
royal-of the extension of the Cliff Road contmact to 25
May 1963 ,and voted approved.
A letter was received from cong. Hastings Keith advising that
the Madaket Lifeboat Sra. would probably soon be turned
over the-the Gen. Services Adm. for disposal and asking
if, the.Town had any interest in obtaining this bldg. and
land.~Woted to advise that we would be'int,erested in same.
^ regue;t Mrs Prisciiia Stanley for a Common Vict. soft
drink and ice cream and ent. license at,the ~agle and Key
for the 1963 season was received and tabled for action by
the new board. ~
There being no furfher business the Board went into executive
session and adj. at 8.45 PM.
