The ~eeting came to Order at.~.30 PM all members"0f the Board
being present,,except Mr. Pease and Mr.'Desrocher.
Warrant No. '53, t°tailing 12,108.60 was presented by Town Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and apPrOved.
Mr.'Rlwyn Francis Sr. shellfish warden was present and discussed
with the Board the matter of closing off'shimmo bend area
and an area'off. Coots (so called) in Madaket to the taking ·
~of scallops.' It was voted to close off the',.Shimmo bend area
>from Pinmneys point to Abrahams-point, all to the south
~.~ .,to the taking of scallops for any purpose, and the.warden
f .- Was to determing the proper.description of.the Madaket area
and advise the Board.
Bids on furnishing oil for town 'and county bldgs for 1963 were
received from only one bidder the Island Set. Co. in the
~amount of.1725 per.gal and voted accepted.
Bids on the i962 Town report were-received as folloWs:
Nant. Town Crier 3.29 per page: Inq. ~ Mirror 3.23 per page
Voted that same be awarded the'lowest bidder.the Inq. & Mirro
Bids on collecting rubbish and garbage from various town and coun~
'bldgs and yacht ~arbage were received from only one bidder,
~'Myles Reis in the amount of $~13.15 for the'year and voted
~ccepted.
Myle~'~Reis Was granted a renewal of his'permit to collect and
.',.transport Gargabe for the year 1963.
The following license renewals were apPlied,for~'and voted approvec
F. ~ermit payne dba The Lamppost Rest.~ and.Island Dairy bar.
Comm. vici. xce cream and soft drin~;Nant. Ph. Inc. Common
¥ict. milk and ice cream; Francisco T. Rebimbas Milk and Ice
Cream; Ryder Inc. Milk a~d Ice Cream; Jessie Murphy, Common
¥ict. Ice,cream, soft drink; Mad Hatter Innholders and recorde
music, week days only.
A letter was received from the ~almouth Cement Block Co. requesti~
approval to transport cement blocks from the wharf to the Nav~
Facility,using ten wheel'truck, and the Board set route for
same via, N. Water, W.Chester, New Lane, Saratoga, Prospect
Sparks ave and Milestone Rd..
There.being no further business the Board went into executive
session and adj. at 8.30 PM.
