The meeting came to order at 7.30 "PM all members of the Board
being present.
WarrantNo. 50, totalling $46,701.54 was presented by Town
Barrett and checked and approved.by the Board.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.'
Mr. Robert Sandsbury was,present and inquired about the matter
of the Boat ramp at Madaket and was advised that the
appropriation for this matter would be,carried over so that
.we would have same next season in the.event we did uot get
"the state to do the dredging we are requesting.-,
Mr. Frank Marks was present and requested information as to the
Status of Hooper Farm Rd,.As we'were waiting for'information'
from the Sewer Commission on this we voted to write the
Sewer~Comm. again as to advices on their ownership if any in
this area.
Ur/ Gilbert Burchell Jr. was present on the:matter'of the site
for the Firemens Asso drill field and stated he felt.the
dump area should be used for this matter.
Voted to open Hummock ~nd Miacomet Podds to the ocean and ~o
request the Mosquito Control Commission to do the work en-
volved,
'A letter was received from Mrs'i Morgan of the Nant, Garden Club
relative to maintenance funds.for plantings at the airport
and referred to the Airport Comm ....
Mr, Douglass B, . Lawrence Contractor on work at Our 'Island Home
was.present and pointed out to the Board the fact of the
recent bad weather which had held him up two-daMs and' also
the fact that shingles which were necessary for this job
were on back order from the local supplier,
Requests for transfers frOm the Airport Comm. and the School
Comm. were referred to the Finance Committee.
There' being no further business the Board went into executive , session and adj. at 9 PM. ',
